The 2010 Villa Conference on Interaction Among Nanostructures (VCIAN-2010) will continue the success of  the 2008 and 2009 conferences, which were held in Orlando Florida and St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Island, respectively, by providing an interdisciplinary forum for the open communication in understanding of the physical, chemical, and biological interactions among nanoscale components of any compositions and morphologies, including carbon nanotubes, graphene, nanoparticles, nanowires, and quantum dots.

VCIAN 2010 will take place from June 21st to June 25th, 2010 in Rocabella Resorts & Spa Hotel, at the island of Santorini, Greece. The price for a single or double bedroom accommodation ranges from 50 to 200 euros at hotels in walking distance from the conference site.  Santorini has one of the most spectacular landscapes in Greece and in the world. The traditional villages of the island, built on tall cliffs, offer a breathtaking view over the submerged volcano. Among them Oia offers the most famous and stunning sunsets. The second to none friendly and stimulating atmosphere will unite international scientists with common professional interests to share both their knowledge of recent developments as well as their ideas about prospective directions and approaches to nano-scale advancements.

Abstract

Submit your abstract as an email attachment to ian@oa-host.org. Please underline the name of the presenting author and indicate oral or poster preferred in your abstract. For the email attachments, word files are preferred, PDF acceptable, abstracts with figures encouraged. Abstracts must be received no later than March 16th, 2010.

Manuscript

The first nanotechnology journal from a major publisher to offer open access, Nanoscale Research Letters (NRL), is open for submission of VC-IAN proceedings. When authors submit their manuscript to NRL, they should specify that their manuscripts are VC-IAN proceedings in their comments to NRL editors. The NRL open access article fee of US$950 is voluntary for VC-IAN submissions. The manuscript deadline is June 22, 2010.

Registration

All participants must pay registratin fees according to the following schedule:

The registration fees are refundable less a ten percent (10%) processing charge if notice of cancellation is received on or before May 20, 2010, or less a twenty percent (20%) processing charge if notice of cancellation is received on or before June 20, 2010. Registration fees cannot be refunded if notice of cancellation is received after June 20, 2010.
